1580s costume made by The Tudor Tailor for education sessions at the National Trust's Charlecote Park (http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main/w-charlecotepark). The clothes are based on an effigy of Joyce Acton in the church at Charlecote and consist of a linen smock, red wool petticoat with stiffened bodies, half kirtle of silk damask and taffeta, doublet style bodice of murrey coloured wool, gown of black worsted with velvet collar, French hood of black silk satin with gold billiments and a large suit of linen ruffs.
